As an applied mathematician, I develop new numerical and analytical methods that enable the solution of challenging problems in biological sciences. This requires interdisciplinary collaboration with biologists and the pursuit of excellence in developing innovative mathematical and computational methods. For the last few decades, the problems arising in biological sciences have been stimulating the development of mathematics. Thus, large component of my research lies in the development of new mathematical methods and techniques both analytical and computational.
My research focuses on studying nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) which provide a mathematical description for many central phenomena in biological sciences such as mathematical epidemiology and cellular dynamics.
