Bio

Michael B. Sohn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the University of Rochester (UR). He received his Ph.D. in statistics in 2015 from the University of Arizona, specializing statistical informatics. Before joining UR, he was post-doctoral associate in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania. His primary research is the development of computational and statistical methods that are practical and applicable to high dimensional data, such as high-throughput sequencing data. He is also interested in other areas that are related to biomedical big data research, including mobile health and wearable devices and other genomic data problems.
