Bio

Dr. Rubin received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.

As a postdoc at The Ohio State University, he began applying dynamical systems methods to study activity patterns in networks of neurons, particularly those involving multiple time scales, which has been his primary research focus ever since.

He joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is now a Professor, in 2000. He is also affiliated with the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh and the Ph.D. program in Computational Biology there.
