Bio

I studied at the University of Northern Iowa and Colorado State University. After three years at the University of Michigan as an NSF postdoc, I joined the faculty at San Francisco State University, where I am very fortunate to have the wonderful opportunity of working with a diverse group of talented and hard-working students at both the undergraduate and master's level. I am broadly interested in algebraic geometry. More specifically, my interests lie in moduli spaces, virtual enumerative geometry, curve counting invariants, and connections with mathematical physics. I am also interested in the interplay between algebraic geometry and algebraic combinatorics. When I'm not working with students, you might find me biking through the hills of Marin County, or wandering the Sierra Mountains with my partner looking for boulders to climb.
