Bio

Alex Barrios is an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of St. Thomas. He received his A.A. from Miami Dade College, Sc.B. from Brown University, and Ph.D. in mathematics from Purdue University. His research interests are in Diophantine geometry. Over the summers, he co-directs the Pomona Research in Mathematics Experience (PRiME), a summer REU that introduces undergraduates to research in number theory.
