2009 Travel information

For Students

We will provide all student participants with accommodations (students will share a room with another participant) at the Iowa House Hotel for Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26. Meals on the 26th and the morning and afternoon of the 27th will also be provided. We will provide students with air travel and travel to and from the Cedar Rapids Airport.

For Mentors

Mentors who have access to travel funds through their college or university or grant are asked to pay their own air travel, if possible, to allow us to use available funding to support more students.

All mentors are asked to reserve their own rooms at the Downtown Iowa City Sheraton Hotel under the Alliance block.

We will arrange travel to and from the Cedar Rapids Airport and air travel for all mentors whose travel is funded by the conference.

If you are making your own travel arrangements, the Cedar Rapids Airport (CID) is the closest airport, about 20 - 25 minutes from Iowa City. You can find information on the Airport Shuttle here.
