I have research interests in the areas of numerical analysis and partial differential equations as these areas relate to the problems of fluid flow through porous media, multiphase and multi-component flow, secondary oil recovery, flow with heat sources and reaction terms, and biofilm growth. I also work in bifurcation, in non standard numerical methods, differential equations with random coefficients and in scientific computation in general.

I am also interested in the use of technology to improve learning, especially in College Algebra, Calculus and Differential Equations.

I have participated in several Summer programs mentoring high school and undergraduate minority students doing research in Mathematics.
